Write India campaign is the campaign launched by The Times of India newspaper to bring out the Indian talent and train them forward to achieve great heights in the mentor ship of already established and great Indian writers. This is competition for every Indian who wish to say his story in his own way.
Procedure
Procedure for the Write India campaign is as follows :
A preface of the story will be provided to you by one and only "Writer of the month" and its your task to plot the story according to their needs. You will be checked by your creativity and how much were you able to encourage the reader to read the whole story. Then the story will be judged by a panel of well known writers and if you succeed then many great offers are waiting for you which includes a Kindle and many more exciting things.Your writing will be included in a book along with the other 11 writers.
Well those things encourage at-least me to write, what about you? Don't you think that you must write for it too. This type of opportunities do not come to your door everyday. So get ready and write.
Writer of the month July
Amish is the the author of the month, July. Writer of the month is responsible for providing the preface or the basic plot that is required by the user to write the story. The writer of the month asks you to write the story and provides with a preface that surrounds around the way he/she writes. This way we can be judged by every great writer of India. And surely we all know that all the writers in India have different style of writing. We will also come to know what our style is by submitting your story to every writer.
About the Author
Amish is a well known writer of many books. I reviewed one of his book but that post was not very much successful as that post had really nothing upon it. Still if you want to read that post than you are very much welcome to read that post.
This about the author thing is provided by The Times of India. Thanks to them, I must say that they describes the authors pretty well and why not they are one of the leading newspapers of india. (although i have to keep a dictionary with me while reading their stuff) According to them
"Described as ‘India’s first literary pop star’ by world-renowned film director Shekhar Kapur, Amish’s unique combination of crackling story-telling, religious symbolism and profound philosophies has made him an overnight publishing phenomenon, with spiritual guru Deepak Chopra hailing Amish’s books as ‘archetypal and stirring’.
Amish’s Shiva Trilogy — 'The Immortals of Meluha' (2010), 'The Secret of the Nagas' (2011) and 'The Oath of the Vayuputras' (2013) — has over 2.2 million copies in print with gross retail sales of over Rs 60 crore, making it the fastest selling book series in Indian history. His books have been translated into 14 Indian and International languages.
Forbes Magazine has listed Amish amongst the 100 most influential celebrities in India. He has also received the Society Young Achievers Award for literature, Radio One's Indian of the Year award and PRCI's Communicator of the Year award in 2013.
Amish is a graduate of IIM-Calcutta and worked for 14 years in the financial services industry before turning to full-time writing. He lives in Mumbai with his wife Preeti and son Neel."

Preface for Write India campaign Provided by Amish
The preface for the story that Amish wanted us to write was as follows :
"Close to the city of Paithan, in a small village called Sauviragram, which lay along the banks of the great river Godavari, lived a woman named Ilaa. Being cotton farmers, her family was well to do, but not among the richest in their area. It was the harvest season, and cotton had to be picked from the plants. The wholesalers and traders from Paithan would be arriving in just a few weeks, carrying gold and goods for barter. They would exchange what they carried for the cotton that the farmers grew. The bales of cotton had to be ready in time! Work was at its peak!
But Ilaa was not to be found in the fields. She wasn't working. Instead, she was sitting by the banks of the great river Godavari.
'I am sick of this!' she grunted loudly."
